IDK right now, times are so bad that I wonder when I can afford it. So sorry, this is just a bad period to try this. Let's just say J.B. Hunt will RELISH this time! So sorry... J.B. Hunt has money...I do not, sigh.

Hi all, I am thinking of going ahead and putting up a site for this maybe this weekend or so. I think the best thing to do would be to make a forum like this here, different style and stuff though. Since times are SO bad right now I think I will pay for the software and do it for you all for free and allow the free use of the forums and information for drivers AND companies for a while until/if times get better and maybe charge a small fee or something after. HOW should I do this? We don't allow links here to trucking companies and such...should we there? Some of my ideas of what to do:

1. Start site for FREE, but force people to sign in to see links, etc.
2. ALLOW links to trucking companies?
3. NO links to recruiting sites, paid job sites, EVER
4. Forum would be about ONLY trucking jobs
5. Should we allow a link to JB Hunt for the desperate (even though they are certainly NOT good)?

any other ideas, please help out. I will pay for the site out of my own pocket (what's new, LOL). I want to make sure we help others out in this difficult time. We will NEVER allow that stuff here due to the abuse, but a site DEDICATED to that would be something entirely different, eh?

would not matter if you excluded bad companies or not diff people may have a good exp with even someone like jb or swift you just never know ...i would never even apply there though

Withe economy the way it is and so many drivers losing their jobs; I wonder if a trucking job site is even worth the effort. Many companies are trimming their driver forces by letting everyone go who has any type of mark on their driving record. There are hiring freezes everywhere, and companies are accepting students so they pay them cheap for running team. Many drivers are getting sent home after training to wait weeks or months for a truck. Where are the good jobs in this total mess????

Yea, I heard that Maverick ( a rather large co) is firing drivers for not getting 6.5 miles per gallon. I also heard they have gone from 1600 drivers (when I worked for them 4 months ago) to 1235 now.
