I believe this to be the same guy I seen taping in his SUV back this summer between Columbia and Spartanburg on I-26. I replied in another thread about it actually. I commented to him over the radio and he had a pretty nasty short reply. Google thirdeye.com. He had a laptop on the passenger side seat typing away when I saw him and a mini cam mounted to the dash. I am thinking trucking companies in general don't hire this guy outright..although a select couple may. I think he probably "fishes" after shooting video...contacting safety with video and an offer to sell it for a fee. Anyone who does this for a living would IMO have to be creative in order to keep cash coming. I hope the judge who oversee's this case throws the book at him as the driver could easily have been killed and killed others by crashing into them.

I entered the website third eye safety.com and am not positive it's the same guy but believe it to be based on the location of the gun incident.
Companies cost is a $99 dollar sign up fee and then $35 per observation. In thier "factual" information they have trucks listed as the cause of 88% of accidents along with other erroneous information. This guy has an axe to grind to matter what he says..his actions speak louder than the words. Anyone who pulls a gun on the interstate is not stable.

88% of accidents CAUSED by trucks. Funny, I know there are TC and MTO stats up here that state of 75% of accidents INVOLVING trucks are caused by cars.

This guy is quite the spin doctor.

Spin doctor indeed. I hope this news story makes it way to his customer base. Making a buck is one thing..pulling a gun is another. :biggrin_25513:

The guy is probably a trucker wannabe that got rejected from the industry. So now he hates all. :)

Would be if I felt like signing up for 10,000 more sites to send me spam. Half the time they don't even bother to approve the registration. They just get your email address and laugh.

What a nut job. What was he thinking he is a super citizen. Seen some people take a pic or video tape me go by. When I notice that I slow down and make sure I record them going by as well.

I like how a guy trying to highlight the unsafe driving habits of others was driving a car while operating a video camera and concentrating more on others driving than his own.
