I hear what you're saying.we are controlled enough .There is no such thing as freedom any longer unless we submit a form to the government.I learned to deal with all the crap in this industry because the drivers have no choice, but believe me when I say I hate it all.

Well don't take your brk till after 6 hrs, lol. You know companies are'nt in favor of the HOS either, but they just let the government do what they want.Life is'nt fair, especially for the drivers. But what can be done about it.I wish the industry would go on strike

Speaking of strike. I know I will get flamed for this but I have ways dreamed of an industry wide union. Not for pay or benefits but just to loosen regulation. If we were not so restricted we would enjoy a pay raise with that alone. These no idling laws and all the crap we have to put up with. I want a union to force decency, that's all. Just have some basic respect.

You need to get rid of the lawyers and insurance companies first....

:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559: from a Schneider driver . The Schneider CEO went begging the Senate Transportation Committee to have immigration laws eased because they wanted more cheap labor . They were already recruiting worldwide .

I know you keep telling me how terrible Schneider is. Maybe one day I will learn. Also, wouldn't he then want less regulation? You know so he could make us drive all day and night to keep up with our immigrant Co-Workers. So what are you laughing at exactly?

Recruiting world wide? Like trying to bring drivers to America? Because we do have worldwide operations.

Keep in mind that the 8 hour clock restarts if you take 30 minutes. If you take your break 2 hours into your day, then you have to take another before you hit 10.5 hour mark. If you take it at 6 hours you are covered to the end of your 14, or should I say 13.5. I've been a "beta tester" for my company and have been running using the new criteria since early May. It can suck and really screw things up.
