Ltl isn't so bad... when they have your pickups set up and you're not running down the east coast for two days trying to get a trailer full to take home like I did a while back.

I agree, unfortunately that's rarely the case.
I heard that KLLM is keeping the dedicated TL lanes (JJ, Unilever, PG and a good amount of Cargil) so long as they continue to get favorable rates on the pulls.
But since those guys operate 25% of their weeks on back-hauls one can only assume they'll be some weird mixture of dedicated TL regional and LTL

That explains why KLLM was pushing for us to get our tanker endorse.

I hate to see anyone loose their jobs, but honestly, it was for the best, I worked for FFE for 5+ years, I found something with a better structure, They put on a good show but what was really going on would blow your minds, I got the email documentation of how they operated temperature controlled products including pictures.

Goodbye FFE, I won't miss ya and Americans will be able to eat safer foods without ya

Anything like turning the reefer units off in the LtL yards when it was cold outside, ring a bell?
Plenty of times I rolled into the Bridgeview yard to snag an empty, only to find 10-15 wagons, loaded, but the reefers shut down and the BOL's all screaming "Keep frozen."

Ah, nothing like cheap people running a cheap company toting around cheap goods, eh?

when companies get taken over they go through all the drivers records/psp/dac reports then start handing out pink slips to the drivers

this may take a week or two but I would keep another job in mind just in case they thought of something new

Speed, this all played out months ago.
The drivers that were going to get the boot, got it.
