ATLANTA (FOX 5) -- FBI agents in Atlanta are warning truckers to beware of the Robinson crime family.

They said the father and son team have been seen recently in Georgia, and in the area, where $6 million worth of pharmaceuticals were hi-jacked from a tractor trailer early in May.

FBI agents in Atlanta said the Robinson crime family deals in stolen cargo.
Agents arrested the patriarch of the crime family, George Robinson, in 2003 but that he disappeared along with his son before their trials. The men have been seen again and the FBI said the timing is suspicious.

"When you have a theft like that that is very ambitious, very aggressive. You look at the most prolific cargo thieves in the area and that brings us to the Robinsons," said an FBI spokesman.

The FBI said 59-year old George Robinson is the patriarch of the crime family that bears his last name.

His son is Vixon Robinson. He's 31-years-old. Agents said these two men are suspects in the hijacking of millions of dollars of cargo, including an entire tractor trailer of U.S. mail found in 2004.

The FBI said the men have known ties to Temple, Georgia. Recently, $6 million worth of the drug Folsamax was stolen from a tractor trailer at a truck stop.

Agents said they are investigating a connection.

The FBI said they arrested George and Vixon Robinson along with other family members in 2003. They were set to stand trial in 2005. Before the trial, the father and son skipped town and have been fugitives ever since.

Along with George and Vixon Robinson agents are also looking for long-time family friend Larry Roy Rogers who they said is on the run with the Robinsons.

The FBI said the Robinsons are persons of interest in the stolen pharmaceuticals.

With the two men on the run, agents say anyone with information should call the Atlanta office of the FBI or the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office which is also investigating this case.
