We make nothing much in America anymore, Cheap only to the importer buyer -but not when it gets to us -just cheaply made. FYI: worked the last 12 yrs as a body man mechanic - i really cant remember any parts coming in that were made in America in that time -its sad - remember when Japanese parts were considered junk -now i would be very happy to see good quality parts from them.

I can't believe I'm seeing this...."some people on the right do not understand that we need small business"...ARE YOU SERIOUS?

Look at the left for the ones trying to strangle the small businesses in this country...not the right! Who has all the $$$ from Unions(?)...the left, who has the "masses" standing on the "free ticket" handout lines(?)...the left, who crippled all the industry from the automakers, steel mills, lumber, and opened the door for government to cripple any and all industry through minimum wage and environmental legislation(?)...the left that's who!

You want to claim that Walmart has shutdown the mom and pops in small town America? Better look a bit closer...in more cases Walmart brought work into small town America, along with it curtailed the "gotcha by the short hairs" attitude of many "mom and pops stores and brought "affordable" goods into the poorer communities. Granted Walmart doesn't sell or buy "high end" products, but that isn't their base...the lower income is their base, so they buy low and sell low both price and quality for the most part.

You can't compare Walmart to US Steel, but many try to compare Walmart (retail) to manufacturing companies...apples and oranges. If it wasn't for large corporations, most of the small business manufacturers wouldn't have had an outlet for their manufactured goods. Blame the government for reducing import duties, increasing export fees, allowing American companies to outsource their products/manufacturing...in the name of "competition"....YEAH RIGHT! You people on the left, posing as "independents" or posing as "free market cronies" when in reality you are Union proponents/cheerleaders...should step back and take a look at what you have brought to this country! You want to live the European life style(?)....move to Europe!!!
