This is in response to a note that was put on my husband’s tractor-trailer on Sunday. To the person who had the nerve to climb onto private property, you are lucky you were not seen or maybe the police would have been called on you. The truck would be parked in front of our home if it were not for people like you who obviously like to cause trouble for the hard-working citizen.
The truck is not parked in front of your home, so I cannot understand why it is such a problem for you. It is in front of an industrial site. That truck has been parking there for the past 10 years, and it has always been legal. Recently, two signs were posted that no truck parking was allowed. My husband kindly moved the truck down where no signs were posted. If you should decide to climb onto a truck again, I sure hope you don’t fall and break your neck or do damage to property that does not belong to you. Remember that if it were not for a tractor-trailer driver, you would not have most of the things in your home.

That must have been some doofus whining about his property value that did that.

I'm glad I live in a neighborhood where everyone minds their own business and you can pretty much park anything on your property.

Nobody complains because pretty much everyone on my street has something that would violate codes/ordinances/landlord rules on their property and they don't want codes enforcement sniffing around.

Some people are so ignorant! We live in the country, my husband parks his by our barn, since he's been driving for Smith though, more guys have stopped to ask him about the company! I told him to park it in front of the house, maybe he can just stay home and become a recruiter! LOL!

Your more than welcome to park his truck in our yard - or would that be to much of a commute?

That's one reason my wife and I are moving to the mountains away from people. These "cityits" with their big money that build these McMansions, think they can move in and run the neighborhood They're too chicken to call the police on the dope dealer down the street.

The "cityits", as you call them, really ruffle my feathers. They move out to our farmlands so they can live "more freely" than in the city. Then they turn around and beef about the tractors moving around at 5 a.m.... the smell of manure in the spring and winter... and the slow-moving combines on the back roads. They demand municipal services that we have very nicely lived without for years and years... and show no interest in serving in our volunteer fire companies and community organizations. It's one stinkin' demand after another with little attempt to fit in with the lifestyle that made this area attractive to them in the first place.

For the life of me, I can't understand why they attempt to bring with them all the regulatory crap that they so eagerly left behind! If you want city controls and regulations, for goodness sake, STAY IN THE CITY!

I can comment on the stunning lack of originality of the letter, since I have seen the same letter written at least 5 years ago on the internet. I suspect that no on actually wrote this, merely copied out something that had been published before.

I agree, city people need to stay in the city! We half Halflinger Horses and work them on the road frequently - a couple of years ago a cop showed up at my dad's house, apparently a "city" person called and complained that they had gotten manure on their car and didn't appreciate it. The person came at the same time the cop showed up to "show" my dad and the officer the evidence - my dad being the funny man he is, asked the guy how he knew it came from his horses and proceded to offer him a sample from the barn to send in to be anilized (spelled wrong), the cop started laughing, and told the guy, dad was being very helpful in the investigation, then told the guy - "If you don't like the country life, GET OUT". The guy did try and report the cop for not doing his job, but of course it was dropped.
