Amendment seeks to cut cross-border program funds

Early Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. House of Representatives will debate and vote on an amendment to stop the DOT’s planned pilot program to allow Mexico-domiciled trucking companies to operate throughout the U.S.

U.S. Reps. Peter DeFazio, D-OR; Duncan Hunter, R-CA; Gary Miller, R-CA; and Nancy Boyda, D-KS; have introduced an amendment to HR3074, the annual transportation appropriations bill, that will cut off all funding for the pilot program.

If someone hears the result, please post it. I expect this to pass by a landslide.
