Ya but if they are going to do the road check then do it no matter the weather conditions are.How often do you see a DOT doing a full blown inspection in the winter.I asked 2 officers at the ky scale house why they aren't out there inspecting trks.One said hes too fat to crawl under the trl,I told him to lose some weight then.Another guy said hes not dressed for it.I told him so what we have to get out every day and do a pretrip.I joked with these guys but they knew I was serious They had I think 3 officers in there doing absolutely nothing.One was outside doing his job.There's too many officers at some of these scale houses wasting the tax payers money.

 

Well it has started early, heading to st. Louis this morning and the Dot have a heavy presence on I55 from Litchfield to St. Louis counted Atlesst a dozen trucks being inspected, also had portable scales set up

For a clean inspection,how many of you receive$100.00 or what kind of bonus does your company give?

 

Crst offer 25 bucks for passed inspection

 

100 for 1's 50 for 2's and 25 for level 3's. and they don't hold trailer brakes against driver

 

Btw I have 5 in last 2 mths alone. 2 1's, 1 2 & 2 3's. only one didnt pay me due to a leaking valve stem.

 

They know that each year, a marker light that is burnt out will directly kill someone .00025 times for each million miles traveled. A missing mudflap, every .00197 million miles somebody loses an eye, and so on.
