Wow, the police certainly have you whipped into shape. As a tax payer who pays for the road and the cops salary isn't it OUR road?

    Of course technically you're right.

But, let's flip that attitude to you.

Say you haul Charmin Ultra. Do you need to answer to every inconsiderate four wheeler who wipes their butt with that product? They are paying your salary in the same way you are paying the officers.

I'm not supporting the cop - I am objecting to the "I pay your salary" way of thinking.

And think of it this way a public servant is not the same as an company employee which is essentially what you are when paid to haul their product.

Not that I am am totally supporting the attitude either.

Here it is plain and simple...NO LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IS ABOVE THE LAW...How can law enforcement write tickets for speeding when they themselves pay no attention to the speed limit? If they are responding to a call that means they are working and blue lights should be on, no buts about it. I am sick and tired of seeing law enforcement speeding on the highways all across the country just because they wear a badge and think they are above the law.....Why do people become law enforcement, because they have a god complex and like to take away freedom from people with the rush they get from putting people in jail...LAW ENFORCEMENT IS NOT ABOVE THE LAW PERIOD!!!!

Next time you are pulled over for a speeding violation, try telling Mr. Policeman, "But officer, this is my road and I can speed on it if I want to." Then proceed to tell him that you pay his salary and that you insist that he not cite you for speeding on your own road. Let me know how that works out for you. No one has me whipped into shape. I'm a realist and this is really the way it is. You are confused to think otherwise, just my opinion, that is all. The police have the badge, the gun and the ticket book that says so. Geez, I've never seen so many cop haters in my life as congregate in these forums.

I dont hate cops a few are good friends but I hate the attitude some have when they suit up including a few of them friends and they know when I see them messing up. And I got to say their are several that are terrible drivers as they dont pay attention had one today come up and sit right at the corner of my trailer even though I had the blinker on as I breaked a bit more and he worked up beside me I watched him typing on his computer not even watching the road.

They are not flawless, but human, just as you and I. And like truck drivers, there are good ones, and unfortunately for me and you, bad ones.

    I hear ya
Just as they expect drivers to be more vigilant and professional when behind a wheel I expect them to be the same. But hey both of us are disappointed more often than not.

This is another case of abuse of power, plain and simple. I have always believed in " don't give them any reason to stop you for anything " Just ignore them at all cost, because they look at you as a liar in everything you say and they treat you as a felon at every stop. So treat them in the same manner, yes I'm very bitter towards all of them.
