Don't try that in New York state though. They just passed a law threatening arrest and jail time for "harassing" a law enforcement officer.

So the same would go for a civilian when a cop pulls them over for speeding? Same laws apply to cops when not in pursuit. He was far from harassing him. More like looking out for the safety and welfare of the common good.

A truck driver showed what can happen when police officers find out they’re being videotaped.

Brian Miner was pulled over in Illinois last week after he honked his truck horn at a state police officer he claims was using his cellphone while speeding on a wet highway.

“I pulled you over – the horn, I don’t know what that was about,” the officer told Miner, who recorded the traffic stop.

“Because you were speeding and had your cellphone in your hand,” said Miner, explaining why he was honking.

“Police officers can actually use technology when they’re driving,” said the officer.

“Oh, so you guys are above the law?” Miner asked.

If that's the case..why did that trooper back track???... Simply because he knew he was in the wrong and was busted...just because he's a cop doesn't make him above the law...remember he's law enforcement...enforces the law, not above it...too many cops get that gun and badge and think that no day can touch them...wrong..

What did it accomplish? Better if he had talked to the shift commander. No penalties pulling someone over this way.
