Does anyone know of someone in the Milwaukee area that could help my husband and I get back to the Phoenix area? We both are experienced drivers. Who happen to have gotten stranded by the company we were working for up to yesterday (8/15). We can help with the driving. Anyone out there who can help?

Sorry to hear that, I'm from Milwaukee, and I ought to know. May I quote from National Lampoons "Deteriorata":
And reflect that whatever fortune may be your lot, It could only be worse in Milwaukee."
Are you looking for a load, or are you stranded altogether?

No, not Diamondback! Would have been easy then, this time with Daily Direct. We had a great job, just bad company.

Not to sound harsh, but after being out here 28 years, and seeing it all, shouldn't you have enough coins to hop on a plane?.Plane, train, bus, car rental or family,is the order of the list I would work it..Cant say I know of any groups that would help out..OOIDA might be worth a call

Tuckered Trucker and HalpinUout Thank this.

Get on the phone, start calling carriers in the PHX area or who run through PHX. There's such a shortage of drivers right now, likely one will send you folks at least a bus ticket if you'll drive for them.

My company that supposedly requires 2 years, sent a bus ticket to a guy that CR decided not to hire. Out of CDL school. Go figure. Well, he had his CDL back after letting it go while in Army...

You could also call nearby carriers. Good teams are hen's teeth.

And, of course, we'd like all the juicy details about who stranded you and under what circumstances. Ah, just for the record, of course. Beware, though, self-appointed 'investigators' are just waiting to pounce on you and your story... pick your story apart, get folks arguing for you, against you, for the company, against...

Oh, yeah! Bit on that hook many times.
