Sad thing is we drive in close proximity to these kinds of idiots all day long...zero common sense.

If I stopped when pavement did I would not make many of my deliveries or a few pickups. Del to a cabin on a road similar not to long ago but phone and communication before making the turn

I delivered to a guys house in Concho, AZ on a one lane gravel road. He told me you'll think you can't make it but you can.

Even told me if I wanted I could get there the night before and park on the road. He has only one neighbor and the road loops around back to the main highway, I wouldn't be blocking anyone.

Did a delivery with my tractor in a similar place once, guy had ordered some part overnight weighed about 200 pounds from Chicago, he said it cost him 1200 bucks to get it shipped. I know it's the drivers fault but a part of me seize blame the company, for not realizing he shouldn't be driving or needs more training.

I use the expression to "cut through the woods" to mean to take the backroads. This guys certainly has given it new meaning.

Wow...looks like some of the roads I gotta drive on in the oil gas industry in a water bottle, but our trucks are built for off roading though. LoL! I guess he has no common sense......

Finally someone that gets it!! Jarhead, you mentioned the bad words of trucking, Common Sense!! (Verifying your gps routes with Google Earth not a bad idea either.)
