He might have made it if it wasn't for that tree stump. Imagine the trucker story that would have made.

Happens every time some goofy flatlander that couldn't put a "Cob handle" on a file rolls into WV thinking he's a Truckdriver. They either end up like this guy or strung out all over the turnpike. Sad thing is, most go farther using common sense and gut instincts, instead of a dang GPS. Oh and BTW, I have "ALL" my teeth.

Reminds me of a bad situation on I-79 about a year ago, around 10 pm, when a dry van loaded with coils going southbound, at too much speed coming into a bend, lost it. Shut traffic down both North and South bound.

Here's the funny part. About hr 2, I'm in the far right lane on the NB side, engine off, still sitting there along with everyone else, and I look down to the right side where the gorge is, I see head lights, then markers and realize it was CMV traffic that was behind us, trying to take a short cut around us. Not more than a minute later, evidently, someone on the SB side, got to thinking the same thing. Not just one or two either, the line was long in both directions, like ducks in a row, all following the leader.

    The punch line?

When the 2 columns met nose to nose and the dirt road isn't even wide enough for a CL 8 vehicle to begin with. I was just imagining how that conversation went once everything came to a stop. I have no idea to this day, how that cluster was ever unscrewed.

Yep, I can see that happening. Another good reason to keep the CB on, nice to hear about it before you get there and then have no options. Some of my co-workers think I'm stupid for keeping my CB on down low, but I'm usually doing a scenic route and moving on while they set and wait.
