Maybe if he wasn't so fat, unhealthy and disgusting he could have finished his run. I'm sure his weight adds to his fatigue factor.

It's called LEARN HOW TO WORK. My God. It's trucking. Drive freight from Point A to Point B on time and safely. If one doesn't have the discipline then they shouldn't be out here. I'm lazy!!! And I can do it!! I'm the laziest person I know! If I can do the job, anyone can.

Now just a ding, dang, diddley minute. I can't sit here and listen to you bad mouth this person. I feel sorry for him, maybe I'm TOO compassionate, but that's not fair at all. He's somebody's loved one, and was in a jam, and didn't know what to do, and tried explaining it to the only person he thought he could talk to. I'm sure he realizes that trucking isn't for him, but was responsible enough to call his company to explain the situation. Where has the compassion gone in this country, jeez.

LoL. That statement may have been a little over the top, but the jist of it rings true. And don't get fooled, that Abe guy has some harsh names for us on TTR. And if I'm not mistaken, ripped into Patty pretty hard after she first supported him then disagreed with his truck abandonment.

Btw, he is back driving. I wonder if his new boss knows his history and what's coming...

Hi Scott, thanks for that.I didn't see where he ripped into anybody, as this is the first I've heard of it. Guess I'm just too much of a softie, maybe that's why everybody craps on me. (woe is me):biggrin_2553::biggrin_2559:

Ok maybe I'm a lil nieve....or a lil too old....but can someone PLEASE tell me when the concept of communication was eliminated from this job....and when the word NO was dropped from the English language.
I've been at this a day or two now....&have never understood not communicating.....And if push comes to shove(which if communicating properly....rarely happens) say NO I cannot do this. Followed by what I AM ABLE to do....

He has bad time management and low on the self discipline not a good combo for a trucker. Agree he should not run tired no of us should some will to a point others way past the point and others not at all. Dispatchers handled there end wrong and he handled his wrong made for a bad situation plan and simple but he took it way past where it needed to go and acted completely unprofessional after the incident.

Hi 'olhand, boy, you got that right. I think it all goes back to the 1st answering machine, and/or caller i.d. For the 1st time, you didn't need to talk to someone you didn't want to. Next, it's this wonderful contraption I am typing on right now. Face to face contact is no longer needed, and as time goes on, face to face interaction gets less and less. When I go to the grocery store, or any public place, for that matter, I still try to talk to people, and they look at me like I'M the crazy one. Being single(and available, wink, wink) I try to have a conversation with women, and I have to PULL conversation out of them.Again, no input what so ever. I hate that, but I feel it's going to get worse, and people won't talk to anyone face to face soon.:biggrin_25513:

"semi", I might not see eye to eye with you on everything ( of course, that's true with any two people ) but you've got the issue of personal interaction dead smack center nailed. It just gets worse all the time. Folks don't realize just how bad their shortchanging themselves ( and other's ) by isolating themselves and not talking to folks they don't already know. It's already led to a downfall in civilization as we know it and it's obvious and tragic whenever you see a table of folks with their noses glued to their d... stupidphones instead of even glancing at the folks at their own table ! I remember how odd that used to seem but now it's a common sight. It's pitiful.
