I have gotten up, pre-tripped and drove for 2 hours realizing I am way too tired, and parked to sleep. I won't hesitate to do it tomorrow. A late load is better than a load scattered across the freeway which, by the way, would be the least of your worries.

"According to Attallah, some drivers simply resort to falsifying their log books so they can stay out on the road. There is a lot of drivers out there who purposely break their logs and, you know, manipulate the log books to get more miles in the day, he said. Theyll show themselves sleeping, [but] then they are really staying awake all night making You Tube videos.

It makes me wonder. He filmed his phone call to his dispatcher, which makes me believe he planned to trap him all along. No dispatcher pushes me around. If im tired I tell them im stopping two hours for nap. Turn volume on People Net down and phone down. I go to bed. Wake up two hours later to message says don't move till fully capable to drive. I am given freedom, with a mega, to drive as I want, but never late unless highway is backed up, like it was in KY on 75 a few times or equipment issues.
