I dunno, to me this bill is about hiding the data until the FMCSA actually gets around to fixing it so the system more accurately represents the actual safety hazards (or lack thereof) at a company. Currently, the system doesn't really do that all to well, especially with regard to crashes. Some of the points assessed for violations are just straight up ridiculous. I'm all for corporate transparency with regard to this kind of information but only if it is accurate and meaningful.

Most bills do have at least one good thing going for them. The problem is that the way our system of government works you can package a whole litany of things that have nothing to do with the main bill into it. then when the bill passes you get the law everybody agreed on plus a million other unrelated things that nobody even took the time to read.

As long as I've done this nonsence out here....my disgust factor w/many so called drivers&the industry as a whole....is basiclly off the charts&Nothing would make me happier than to see some real crackdowns&punishments....which is what the current system proposes it does....but the simple fact of the matter is Cvsa2010.....was/is smoke&mirrors touchy feely happy horse#### from day one....the Entire system is flawed designed without one shred of true emperical evidence......but the Feds could stand on their soapbox&tout their dedication to keeping the roads safe for their constiuents....All this brings my memory back to that very silly cover on the CDL handout back about 87/88...as the feds started Rollin out the program.....

it read in Bold letters...."FROM NOW ON ONLY THE BEST WILL DRIVE!!

So tell me Washington 25+ years later.....hows that brilliant plan workin fer ya???
