"Parkways in the Northeast? - NO, a thousand times, NO."

This should be the good morning announcement of every CDL class and of every trainer, of every day when working with new driver wanna-be's. I mean it's not like any experienced driver doesn't know this. Pass along your knowledge and never assume it's common knowledge for all. Thank you.

And please don't tell me a trainer was driving OR a trainer was in the sleeper.

    Puppage Thanks this.

Road crews in Chicago don't know everything either. I had a nice exit from a shipper worked out for myself and got detoured into a low clearance. I had to ask for help to get back out because the way they wanted me to go was 9" too low, per the signage.

I have a rand McNally GPS for trucks and I still use my atlas and call the shipper/receiver for directions. No need for these kind of problems these days
