Driver shortage in UK leading up to holidays - caused by new regulations

Yep......told you. About HOS. We would starve over here with that BS. You need to be a mathematician to figure it out. What's laughable is that the accident rates have actually gone up! Despite all the regs. Go figure. So I guess that's why even experienced drivers have to jump thru hoops and be re tested. Govt meddling and stupidity as usual.
Virtually all trucks over there are cabovers. The UK is not spread out like it is over here. But the freeways/motorways are pretty good. But trying to maneuver around towns/cities can be a nightmare.
