They are projecting a shortage of 60,000 drivers in the UK for the holiday season. Note that one of the options is to hire drivers from Ireland and elsewhere in Europe.

That goes for truck drivers as well as doctors -- if your time is better spent doing something else, you'll probably do that instead. -
Yes and you should take a look at the HOS in the UK. And we think we've got it bad. Not even close to what the UK drivers have to put up with.

Wow that is confusing. How does anyone get any driving done 4.5 hr and 45 min break a total of 90 hrs a 2 week period. Then off road and on road change hrs allotted.
