Hauling legal size loads, the 30 min break isn't a big deal for me either but doing mostly oversize stuff that's 30 minutes I cannot make up at the end of the day especially in the late fall to early spring time when there isn't enough daylight hours to even get a full 11 hour day in. When I'm on a legal load I just split log 2 and 8 then I don't loose the 30 minutes anyway.

It may not pass at all. The entire bill that is. There's now a fight over a part of the Bill that gives more protections to risky bank behavior. Let's not start celebrating just yet.

They only passed a bill out of committee. If you guys try rolling through a coop with a reset conforming to the old HOS rules on the restart, you're going to get put out of service. NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

What good is repealing a pointless 30 minute break and stupid 34 hr restart rule when their huge budgets and wasteful spending are ultimately bankrupting our country?

This issue is a tradeoff between parties as part of the new federal budget. However, political debates aren't allowed in this section, they are only allowed in the Politics section so please don't further attempt to turn this into one here.

I want the 30 minute break gone too. I usually stop once mid-day for about that long anyway.

Thing is, I can't eat right after I wake up in the morning. So, I like to wake up, get going, and stop after about an hour for breakfast. If I'm on a tight load, I have to force-feed myself before I take off, because if I stop after an hour, I'll end up having to take another 30-minute break over the course of the day.

How is mentioning the fact that our country is on the path of financial ruin political posturing? It's a debate based on economic fact. Did I mention any political party or politician? No, but if you want to go that direction I'd like to point out that your original post and subsequent posts were way more political in nature than anything I brought up
