Looks like they rammed through the "Let's make it easier for Wall Street to bankrupt the country again" spending bill and the senate will pass it as well so unless something major happens the 34 hour restart provision is good as gone. One victory for us, one massive mistake for the the rest of the country. 'Murica.

Ya know, its like when they change the speed limit... it ain't changed until the sign is up. They won't change it until they're "ready." You know... 90 days, 6 months... a couple 'o years after the gubbermint sues itself.

Well at least we won't have some of the insane HOS laws while they're making the planet inhabitable and Wall Street wrecks what is left of the economy. 'Murica!!!!

OK...now that we are "clear" (for a year) on the two 0100-0500 periods and the once in 168 hours rule, for those of us on e-logs, how long will it take to "reboot" the system to be in compliance with the change? I wonder?

We use QuallComm, so I guess it will come from Quallcomm themselves....but what about the other 140+ systems that are in use?

For those concerned with the HOS, it's good news. For those with concerns outside of the HOS, like those that don't want a repeat of 2007-2009, this is really bad news. But hey, we don't have to do the 1-5 provision anymore and look a bird is over there! Please don't pay attention to how badly we all just got screwed.
