Hopefully this will actually reduce the death toll associated with people doing stupid things around trucks...however...I have my doubts that people will change their ways around any truck but this one.
stabob Thanks this. -
i'd love to be able to pull it over and give it a level 1. but that's just me.
Murdock, Michigander, Shaggy and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah...that's not going to change anything. As the one cop said...if someone was going to drive illegally by any other marked police vehicle, they're going to drive badly around this one.
Brilliant use of tax dollars though. I wonder how many cruisers, firearms, computers, bullet proof vests, etc. they could have purchased for the price of that big rig? Maybe that or actually put a few extra bucks into the public school system insteadShaggy Thanks this. -
great idea, but i dont think it will matter. they shouldnt have painted it up as a Highway Patrol...HOWEVER, a lot of ppl wont pay attn to what it says, they will just think its another big truck to mess with. will be interesting to see how it goes

Doesn't Tennessee have one? Has theirs been accomplishing the same goal? Making money? Lol...
Shaggy Thanks this. -
Officer ride-alongs have been used elsewhere to accomplish the same objective without the expense of operating and maintaining a class 8 truck. At least they didn't go out and buy a brand new rig for this...
Shaggy Thanks this. -
