We've talked about ways students and driver can research carriers in previous threads and different ways that information can be obtained for researched without it being just here say when it comes to carriers.
Even though forums like this one share a great multitude of information about the subject of carriers, we still look at this to be a personal opinionated statements from someone that may leave individuals thinking surely this big carrier wouldn't lie about that, right?
So when I found this article about removing all score from public view, it really got me to thinking just how bad things with carriers may be getting and rather to clean up their act, they want to go on and just sweep it under the rug as usual instead of addressing their problems. And the sad thing about it all is, that the Federal gov., ATA and OOIDA are for it.
Carriers have destroyed some drivers DACs for years with no mercy, read the article and tell me what you think on this one. I believe everyone, including carriers should be held responsible for cleaning their act up, a carrier with better csa scores will help drivers as well maintain better driver csa score. With no way to verify it, how would we ever know whats a good carrier or bad one, just like they verify a drivers record on us with DAC.

CSA scores are a farce. They are the wrong for a variety of different reason.
This is one of those moments where you help someone else even if it doesn't involve yourself or even if it seems like they ar getting by with something.
They most assuredly are not.
CSA is especially a killer for the little guys in the industry and it's aimed dead straight at them for sure.
Like I said, I can talk a while on why CSA is just plain un-American and un fair and bad for us all in the industry and it won't involve the driver of the truck in any way.
That should tell you something right there.
CSA scores are graded/scored unfairly and they are used unfairly against small carriers especially and there isn't a #### thing you can do about it.
The first thing that must be done is stop it all and regroup. Anyone that has had to deal with this CSA stuff on the non truck drivers side of the fence understands what I mean.
You can absolutely do nothing about anything on your score even if it was BS in the first place or even if it was not your truck. Ask me how I know. It's a government train wreck. -
it still needs to be available to the public, even if it is a train wreck. Only way the public will know..

I know drivers can contest the allegations, but so can the carriers in this case, they should all be held responsible and they all should clean it up, or get out!
And if a carriers CSA score is to be held private, why shouldn't mine as well be held private so carriers cant view mine as well.
Making this non-public will only give all carriers the loophole they need to hire great drivers that in allot of cases would never work for them if they knew how bad they really were.
And like I said also, if carriers are concerned, they need to clean it up, or get out! -
You have secret government data, the government gets out of control.
And YES even the wrong data needs to be public.
And with the data public, it becomes an easier challenge to get that bad data removed, and corrected.
The way it is now, with only parts of it public, and NO public recourse to verify the data, or for companies to actually challenge the data you get the mess we have today, of government agencies out of control, and no recourse for the businesses that agency affects...tahokid Thanks this. -

Kind of curious if everyone is so hot to have company CSA's available to the public, you want your PSP sitting out there in public? That's your CSA score. You're on the public highway day and night. Shouldn't the public have a right to know not just the company scores, but also the scores of every driver cowboyin' up and down the Big Road? I wouldn't mind having mine out there after 28 years. Not sure about everyone else, though..
