18-wheeler stolen at gunpoint

18-wheeler stolen at gunpoint

9/6/07

Quote:
San Antonio Police are on the hunt for two men who stole an 18-wheeler from a South Side grocery supply business at gunpoint this morning.
It happened around 1 a.m. in the 2300 block of Roosevelt.
According to police, the suspects go on the grounds of Grocery Supply Company Enterprises Incorporated by cutting through a back fence. Then, the men put a gun to the head of a truck driver and crashed through a closed gate.
Police say the men disabled the Global Position System, or GPS, in the 18-wheeler long enough to dump the cab on Weichold Road, off of Loop 1604 not far from Converse.
The men got away with the trailer, which was filled with around $45,000 in tobacco products, officers say.

This is exactly why the gooberment hazmat finger print plan is a bunch of nonsense. If some body wants to do bad things with a haz load they will rob/kill the driver and run off with the rig to do it. They will not bother to get a license and do it all legal and then do their crime from the inside.

Cigarettes are a hot item right now. Folks are breaking into stores and taking only the cartons of cigs. Have seen it many times.

Had one burglary I worked they backed a pickup through the front wall/window , threw a whole bunch of cartons in the pickup bed FAST and hauled out in less than three minutes. All caught on video.
