I didn't think anything of it. He wrote me up for that too, said that I was required to log "off duty" every time I got out of the truck. Since I admitted I got out of the truck for periods longer than 5 minutes, he ticketed me for "logbook falsification".

Since I was on a restricted road (I had missed the turn off for the truck route and couldn't turn around), I had been pulled over for that initially. Since he didn't write me up for that, just "failure to obey a regulatory sign", which was a smaller fine, I decided to cut my losses and pay the tickets. $350 in total.
Crap!! Line 2 is kinda the gray area.

That's utter bullcrap. You should ask that ####### cop to point out the specific law or regulation that says you're required to fill out a vehicle inspection report even during times when you're not actually INSPECTING THE VEHICLE.

So anyone of Hispanic descent is open to being harassed? Even those who's ancestors were here for thousands of years before there was a USA?

The level of ignorance in some people is simply astounding.

The terms Latino, Hispanic, Mexican, Chicano, and a few others would be suitable names for reference to members of various latino races. However, the term "#######" or other similar slang references are not appropriate for use in this forum. It is possible to make reference to the race of a person or the race of a group without using terms that have socially negative connotations. Kindly respect the basic rules of civility for conversation when making posts on here, or appropriate actions will be taken against the offenders.

What is soo unfair about American trucking rules for Mexican truckers? Arent they the same as for American truckers? If an American drives their car in mexico, you had better obey their rules. If you don't, or better yet, expect special treatment because your from another country, you will end up with a hefty fine, jail time or in some cases both. What in the world makes anyone expect special treatment in America simply because you are from Mexico???

On the other hand, given the success of illegal aleins getting welfare food stamps free medical care and bilingual education, maybe they really believe that if they whine and cry load enough they will get special treatment on this issue also.

I used to call myself a "#######" when I worked for Pepsi after spending all day in an un-air conditioned truck with a vinyl seat in the summertime.

I don't miss those days at all.
