An Indiana truck driver was awakened abruptly this morning when a burglar smashed his way into the cab of his truck in a parking area along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in West Pennsboro Twp., Cumberland County, state police said.
Troopers said Kenneth Waugh, 52, was in the sleeper berth of his truck just before 4:30 a.m. when he heard the sound of glass breaking and saw a white man hanging through the smashed driver’s window of his cab, going through Waugh’s wallet.
The culprit ran away after stealing about $160, police said. They said a steering wheel locking device believed to have been used to smash the truck window was found in a nearby field.

Precisely why I do not leave my wallet on the drivers seat at nite!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its way too easy for them to do a snatch and grab and be gone before you could possibly stop them.

You mean some truckers leave their wallets on the driver's seat while they're sleeping???

C'mon -- I thought you drivers were smarter than that! Even I -- a FOUR-WHEELER (for heaven's sake) -- know better than to leave something of value laying out in plain sight, even with the car doors locked.

Don't be putting temptation out there. Some people simply cannot resist...
