LANCASTER — About $600 worth of diesel gas was reported stolen from a semi truck parked on Collins Road, one mile south of Lithopolis Road. The truck driver reported that the semi was parked on Collins Road. The theft happened between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Saturday.

The driver found both gas caps destroyed and the fuel was missing. The damage to the gas caps totaled $160, according to the report from the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office

I have seen a few cases of this in our local area here.... I think it is gonna get worse as the prices increase..
