LAS CRUCES - Like many families this holiday season, James and Lois Rouse hit the road for Thanksgiving, leaving from Cartersville, Ga., and heading to Los Angeles.
Unlike most families, however, their baggage was a 52-foot truck full of French doors. The Rouses, who have been married 24 years, are long-haul team truckers, trading the wheel and keeping each other company while hauling loads of chicken, or carpet, or potato patties across the country. 52" trailer? Is that a typo, and they meant 53" or do they make 52 footers? I've never seen a 52 footer.
