Central Illinois trucker found dead in cab

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say they don't believe foul play was responsible for the death of a Peoria County trucker who was found dead in his truck cab yesterday.
The 45-year-old was found at the Carlock Weigh Station yesterday morning. He'd stopped at the 7weigh station along Interstate 74 for a permit inspection.
Authorities say they believe the man was returning home from the East Coast.
He was pronounced dead at a Normal Hospital and an autopsy will be held today.

That is always so sad to hear. It is my prayer that if I go in a truck that I am in the sleeper so I don't take anyone with me.

I can't count the number of times I have heard similar stories. And I can't help but realize that each time I hear this, another Lady out there is made a widow. One of my closest friends lost her hubby in a similar manner just 2 years ago. And to this day I can recall every word of the conversation with her when I finally got her on the phone.

THe very first thing she said was "At least he was not driving at the time."
