89-Year-Old Trucker Still On The Road 89-Year-Old Trucker Still On The Road 1/16/08 CBS 13, CA Quote: OAKDALE (CBS13) ― A truck driver in Oakdale keeps on truckin' despite being 89-years-old. Joe Rocha has been driving a big rig since 1939. He's one of the oldest truck drivers in the state. His CB handle is "Joe Cool". He's hauled everything from cattle to produce. Rocha says he tried to retire 17 years ago but was bored. He has some advice for those thinking about retirement. "I don't think anyone should quit, retire and just quit right off," Rocha told CBS13, "They should have something else to do. If you like to do what you're doing, do it. Don't retire."
