| Well, since you have no information visible in the corner of your posts about how long you've been driving or if you even drive at all, this statement from you has all the credibility of someone trying to sell oceanfront property in Kansas. You are free to sweat while you sleep if you see fit since you seem to long for the old days, but since A/C does in fact exist I damn sure intend to use it.

| Now did you register here just because of this thread? It's curious I mention Kansas and then all of a sudden look who appears.

| Maybe instead of making idling rules for truckers they should make idling rules for 4-wheelers. There are 100X more 4-wheelers than trucks out there....maybe force them to carpool or take public transit into the cities... This is ridiculous. I'm happy I have an APU but I really feel bad for the majority that don't... What I've noticed in CA though is that most are ignoring the laws....I see trucks idling away at rest/truck stops still and have not yet talked to anyone that has been cited. |

| If they want to help lower pollution, they should start with the factories.I see myself getting alot of fines after I start driving with my new employer..Sorry,but I refuse to get bullied..When more accidents start popping up involving tired drivers cause they couldnt get sleep in a truck thats 120 degrees inside, they will blame it on hos and bring it from 11 to like 8...?..Who are the idiots that keep makin these decisions??? |

Had a report on ABC local Ch8 tonight that the 3 cement mfg plants just S of DLS emit over 50% of the NOX emissions in the Metroplex. No one demanding they shut down, except nearby residents with sick kids. This is just another cheap shot at the truck driver. Most are unorganized and therefore not able to fight these preposterous regulations. ![]() |
