The cuts will be a combination of layoffs, attrition and freezing some existing open positions. Reductions are spread out across geographic areas and affect various levels of the organization although they are focused on management, administrative and back-office employees
Cutting the over-head first and keeping the Indians...Smart move (if that's what they're really doing).

Gotta retain the "Money Makers".

Here's some proof that most of the blood-letting is management and operations:[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

"It's a top-to-bottom review of our processes to ensure our network is as resilient and efficient as possible," the spokesman said. The upcoming decision is expected to pertain to DHL Express' operations in the United States"
DHL was getting top-heavy not that laying anyone off is a good thing but sometimes companies have too much fat and often sacrifice the money makers first. Good for DHL to realize where the money comes from and not do the business as usual routine.

DHL is not affiliated in any way with Old Dominion Freight Lines. I know the rumors, That is merely idle speculation by Wall ST ying-yangs . OD doesn't even use DHL for overnighting documents, they use UPS. Besides, they aren't in any shape to buy OD now.
