Out of state truckers may pay more in Idaho Out of state truckers may pay more in Idaho 3/7/08 Quote: LEWISTON (AP) - Some Idaho senators want to raise $57 million per year to build and repair Idaho roads. And they plan to get the money from out of state truckers. It's part of a plan to ease a $200 million shortfall in transportation funding. Senators Tim Corder and Shawn Keough introduced the bill Wednesday to charge all trucks that weigh more than 60,000 pounds a $660 annual registration fee. The truck owners would then pay 4.5 cents for every mile they travel on Idaho roads.
