The time to "Make them show you the law" is in court, not on side of the road. There are laws on the books that will make you say "What the !##% (Heck) "...... Even with the laws "On the books" it is up to the District Atty. to decide IF they will prosicute them. Demanding to be shown the statute or law on the side of the road is a BAD move. IF the Cop has done his/her research on the "Odd/obscure laws" you may find yourself with a LOT of other charges that ARE valid, just not commonly used. When the P.O.P. syndrome (Pizzed off Police) kicks in YOU will lose a lot more times than you win. |
