How about trucks made before 2009?

for example I have a 2000 Ford F550 7.3L that shouldnt have a problem passing emissions

so would my truck need a DPF since in theory it should pass emissions with no DPF?

Why should my 1997 379 be taken off the road in 2010?
It smoke tests clean.....
It's an agenda and it's a big $$$ for the after-markets and the Paccar, Cummins...They all know that for us to remain in business, it's upgrade, buy or die.....

Your Pete should stay on the road.

I also find it funny that the oil companies are going to benefit from this from the reduced MPG.

Hey I have a bright idea instead of making engines that are more fuel efficient lets make them more restricted so they use more fuel

I dont think we should let these guys just run us down and screw are lively hood.

We need to stand up together to the EPA and stop this madness with enough people it should be possible. As individuals we should write letters to the EPA and our congressmen and senators. A (online) petition should be made so the EPA so can how many people are in favor of stopping this law. OOIDA as well as the other trucking associations need to step up to the plate and really give the EPA some hell.

With large numbers and being persistent we can get this done.

I thought you were joking about wanting to be "rescued" if Texas were to split from the other 49 states. LOL

I tell you, I already miss TX so much I could cry; oh wait, I have.

Nana, none of us who are stuck here are joking about wanting to be rescued. I am working on my way out, and if Ron cares to join me, he's always welcome in my home. This has become a nightmare for everyone.

What??? I live in northern, CA, and we BBQ all the time. I've never heard ANYTHING about not BBQ'ing.

However, there IS a "burn law" in effect. It has to be a certain time of year, and during the rainy season, in order to burn leaves.

Sincerely,
Judi Kay

California Passes Nation's Toughest Regulations to Cut Diesel Pollution From Over the Road Trucks
12/18/08
Quote:
Save The World Air, Inc. ("STWA") (OTCBB: ZERO) reported today that the State of California has unanimously approved legislation that will require the retrofitting of more than 230,000 diesel rigs beginning in 2011. The Air Resources Board stated that the health benefits outweigh the potential financial implications for trucking company owners and operators.
Air Resource Board Chairman Mary Nichols said, "This regulation will save more than 9,000 lives and reduce the toxic emissions that cause cancer and birth defects."
