Sage trucking school vandalized

Kingman Daily Miner, AZ
KINGMAN - The Sage trucking school at Mohave Community College was the victim of vandalism last Sunday.
Mohave County Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Trish Carter confirmed that the office responded to a criminal damage call around 5:50 a.m. on Sunday.
At least 19 tires on two trucks were slashed, Carter said.
Audra Haynes, director of the school, confirmed that 19 tires were damaged.
The estimated cost of the damage is around $6,000, she said.
However, the trucks at the school were only down for a day and a half, Haynes said. She credited Great Western Commercial Tire and D&G Towing for coming out immediately to help fix the problem and check out the trucks for other possible damage.
Haynes said this is not the first time school property has been vandalized.
About a year and a half ago, the school had around $2,000 worth of damage done to the trucks after thieves stripped the copper wire from the batteries.
Some of the building windows have been shot out and several attempts have been made to break into a storage building on the campus, she said.
