BUFORD – Diesel gas is hovering around its all-time record, but students are still lining up at one Buford truck driving school. In fact, demand is so high that Daly’s Truck Driving School plans to move to a larger location.

The school is currently located on South Lee Street, but Buford Commission Chairman Phillip Beard explained, “It had become a problem, really, he was outgrowing the facility.”

So, faced with a business expanding more than space would allow, Daly’s decided to relocate to 2314 Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

“They acquired the new property over on Peachtree Industrial and they’re building a whole new facility on about 10 acres,” Beard noted.

Monday night, the Buford City Commission unanimously re-zoned the property from general business to light manufacturing in order to permit the operation of the new facility. Beard expects Daly’s to be open for business at the new location within the next six months.
