OPEC Secretary General visits Venezuela

Quote:
No 8/2008
Caracas, Venezuela - 21 May 2008
Abdalla Salem El-Badri, OPEC Secretary General, who is currently on a week long working visit to the two OPEC Member Countries in Latin America, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Republic of Ecuador, was on Tuesday granted audience by President Hugo Chavez Frias, in Caracas. The meeting covered a number of topics, including the current oil market situation, the positive relationship between Venezuela and the OPEC Secretariat, and a follow up on some of the issues contained in the three Declarations of OPEC Heads of State and Government which were adopted in Algiers (1975), Caracas, (2000) and Riyadh (2007).

Remember the failed cue against Hugo Chavez and the Venezuelan government in 2002, America supported

Remember the assassination attempt on Chavez?

Remember Chavez speaking at the UN calling Bush the Devil?

Remember Bush blocking Chavez seat to the UN?

Connection between high oil prices and Chavez???
Do some research and see exactly how much influence this man has with OPEC...

Two words
Market manipulation

I can go one better...

Just released, OPEC bought/invested into 20% of the commodities market. Affecting food prices on a global scale. In short, they own 1/5th of it.

So on top of all the oil they have, they now have started to influence the price of our groceries.

I don't see this as a friendly move at all. I would view it as an open act of war/terrorism.

Good thing I'm not President eh?

Good find... I did not know this. AMERICA needs to wake up and smell the coffee fast before it is to late. All this outsourcing our jobs and relying on other countries to supply us is going to come back and destroy this country... Big buisness could care less becuase the rich will simply move thier family onto the next superpower...
