Big rig parking rules changed

Big rig parking rules changed

6/20/08
Topeka Capital Journal, KS
Quote:
Notice to drivers of large trucks: The rules have changed on where you can park your rigs in Shawnee County.
The Shawnee County Commission made the change Thursday in response to a group of neighbors in Mission Township who showed up at the commission meeting with a photograph of a large truck often parked in front of the driver's home in their neighborhood.

On one hand, I can understand where the public is coming from on this. When you take into consideration the lack of respect that some drivers have for anyone other than themselves, I can't really blame people for not wanting trucks parked all over the place. From dumping trash to the pee bottles to the lot lizards....it's a never ending list.
But, on the other hand.....dayumm, something's gotta give.People want the products on the shelves at all times, no excuses....but deliver and get outta my sight. Where's the happy medium here?

Its not like Ft Collins has provided any extra truck stops or truck parking any where else close by.
