Stranded truckers set up camp near Peshtigo 6/26/08 Quote: PESHTIGO, Wis. (AP) Truckers prevented from delivering wind turbines to a flooded field in Iowa are stuck in northern Wisconsin where they've set up camp near Peshtigo in a place they call ''Strandedville.'' The 11 truckers say they've spent the past 10 days sitting around, reading and gossiping. The truckers picked up 110 tons of wind turbine concrete at the port in Menominee, Michigan, and were headed to northern Iowa. But, they didn't get very far because bridges in between must be inspected before the heavy loads can go over them and that could take another week and a half. So for now, the truckers are befriending employees at the Eagle Express Truck Plaza where they've set up their chairs and shade umbrella in the parking lot.
