W.Va. moves to freeze fuel tax W.Va. moves to freeze fuel tax 6/28/08 Quote: Soon to become law is a West Virginia measure to temporarily freeze the state’s wholesale fuel tax, delaying an automatic increase until 2010. Gov. Joe Manchin requested HB 218, which would prevent a previously scheduled tax hike of 6 or 7 cents per gallon Jan. 1, a cost passed on at the pump. What a joke.... How is this going to help? next year they will be asking the government for more money to help them pay for infrastructure repairs.. Just as the other states have been doing already.. already a post on here about that subject...
