I can get behind that ticket, finally they are doing something about it... now they just need to expand it to a just not trucks but everybody in America...

It needs to english only on all of the tests at the DMV too

Castillo, who was stopped on his way back to California, said he knows federal law requires him to be able to converse in English with an officer but he thought his language skills were good enough to avoid a ticket.

Still, Castillo said he plans to pay the maximum fine of $500 rather than return to Alabama to fight the ticket.

"It just doesn't seem fair to be ticketed if I wasn't doing anything dangerous on the road," he said.

Federal law requires that anyone with a commercial drivers license speak English well enough to talk with police. Authorities last year issued 25,230 tickets nationwide for violations. Now the federal government is trying to tighten the English requirement, saying the change is needed for safety reasons.

It's is great, that our gov. is doing something.

I don't want to drive in Mexico anyway. Why would anyone want to go to that stinking #$^& hole. You just go into Mexico and it stinks right away, burning trash, and sewer waste. This is what happens when you got a nation of wage slaves and no one pays taxes. (Sounds a bit like the direction our country is going in, EI. a bridge falling down, and L.A. CA).

The interior of Mexico is nothing like the border towns.. You should visit some time. It really is a beautiful country. Group of us used to ride down there all the time.

We used to go down past Ensenada to a Trailer park owned by Hussong's. It had nice beach and it was mostly retired Americans. That all stopped when the Mexican army began posting troops at the toll booths and one punk azz private pointed his rifle at me and my wife's dad.
I don't like traveling in country where you need to travel by day because if the potholes don't get you, the bandidtos will (and their cops too)
