Trucking group to file port suit 7/24/08 Quote: A national trucking group will file a federal lawsuit on Monday against the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, alleging that a concession provision tied to the Clean Trucks Program violates interstate laws. Officials with the American Trucking Association say the plan unfairly favors large-scale licensed motor carriers to hire truck drivers as employees, which will eventually drive smaller carriers out of business.
