Arrest made in stolen equipment investigation

State Police have made an arrest in a several months-long investigation into the theft of numerous pieces of heavy equipment from surrounding states. The equipment was found in November in St. Francis County, and at the time, was valued at about $500,000.

Arkansas State Police Troop D Investigator Dale Arnold said this morning that Danny Ray Reeves, 48, 3998 Hwy. 70 W., Forrest City, was arrested Wednesday on four counts of theft by receiving, Class B felonies. He is currently free on an $80,000 bond, according to officials at the St. Francis County Jail.

Unfortunately this is common. We sent several drivers to Richmond, to help on a large pour.... They got sent back to somerset, just as soon as tehy arrived, because the contractors equipment was stolen! EVERYTHING on the job site was gone! A couple hundred thousand dollars worth. Theives should be shot.
