TxDOT advises against travel in hurricane region TxDOT advises against travel in hurricane region 7/25/08 Quote: Transportation officials in Texas closed several roadways and issued travel advisories in the region hardest hit by Hurricane Dolly’s high winds and heavy rains. Dolly pounded the southern coast of Texas and Northeast Mexico and had an estimated rainfall of 8-20 inches on Wednesday, July 23.
