Pushes plan that would allow city to seize vehicles of three-time violators
A Queens councilman wants a “three strikes” policy for truck drivers who violate the city’s truck rout rules.

Councilman Tony Avella is promoting a plan that would allow the city to seize the actual vehicles of truck drivers who violate truck route rules three times within an 18-month period.

I am against any law that allows a goverment to take peoples personal property.. That is way to intrusive and to me against all Americans rights..

Actually, I am all for this and think it's a great thing...

so long as they also create a new law whereby they invoke the death penalty the third time a politician says something stupid.

Unfortunately, many are still missing the point here.

These are trucks that are blatantly driving down roads that they are posted and have been advised to not drive on.

These drivers are continuing to drive down the roads that have not been deemed safe to do so or whatever. Maybe the threat of them losing their truck will finally sink in.

I know many will not like this post, but consider the many that have posted on the issues of the bad drivers and others. This is no different.
