Zones where I-80 tolls may be located are revealed

Zones where I-80 tolls may be located are revealed

Quote:

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission says it's narrowed the locations for nine toll collection sites along Interstate 80 to 20 zones.

The commission released the list at a Harrisburg news conference on Wednesday.

Officials say the final sites will be selected to maximize revenue and minimize the number of cars seeking alternative routes.

They're also touting a plan to limit how many local drivers will have to pay tolls. The proposal would let passenger vehicles with E-ZPass transponders go through the first toll plaza for free.

A decision about exactly where to put the nine tolling plazas is expected sometime this fall.

This is a total rip off.. There basically will be no way to go across PA without paying a toll. Side roads will be regulated eventually forcing you onto the toll roads because people in PA are not going to put up with the massive flow of trucks. Not to mention the time and extra fuel you will burn pulling those pack road hills.

Government should of never let this happen. This is a first step to many many Interstates in America becoming toll roads.

This is an embarrassment for most Pennsylvanians. We're as sick of it as you are. Trust me.

They stop giving so much of our money to other countries and allowing foreign companies to get US federal grants???????? What is up with that??? American companies have a hard enough time getting grants and we are now allowing more and more foreign companies get grants.. Not to mention tax subsidies foreign companies get I can go on and on how we are being screwed........... They stop screwing us and we would have money...... Trust me government knows what the American people want they just don't care.. Foreign and Domestic large corps are so deep into our governments pockets they are simply puppets for them...

We would have to kill the puppet masters to get our government back...

Kill big business.... Sorry big business lovers but it is true.....
