Lane closures on the Bay Bridge start Monday Lane closures on the Bay Bridge start Monday 8/17/08 Quote: WASHINGTON- If you are traveling across the Bay Bridge this week, you can expect some lane closures. The Maryland Transportation Authority will temporarily close one lane on the eastbound span (US 50/301) for inspection. The lane closure will start Monday at 8:30 in the morning and run through Thursday. The eastbound lane is expected to be closed each day until 3p.m. Transportation officials say two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span, and they will monitor traffic volume.
