Trucker arrested in $45,000 stolen pizza case

Trucker arrested in $45,000 stolen pizza case

For a Hammond truck driver, it was one pizza delivery that really went to the wrong address — all 26, 652 pounds' worth.

Indiana State Police say the 38-year-old contractor was supposed to take a semi-truck load of Stouffer frozen pizzas from Nation Pizza in Schaumburg, Ill., and deliver them in Utah last week.

Hi everyone, I'm Chuckster, and new to the trucking industry. I just got my CDL on the 2nd and will start my first trucking job on the 16th with a company called Gordon Trucking. My home base will be in Indianapolis, In. I will be an over-the-road trucker. I am excited to get going. Can you give me some advise, please ?

Truck driver to be charged for trying to sell load

9/9/08
Quote:
GARY -- A Hammond truck driver is expected to be charged this week for trying to sell 13 tons of frozen food he was hired to haul to Utah.
Anthony Lee Herbert, 38, had a load of 3,600 cases of what state police identified as frozen pizzas to take from Schaumburg, Ill., to Springville, Utah, when his semitrailer broke down.

He apparently had no plans to even deliver the load. Gary is east of Schaumburg and he should have been going west.
